Designated Safeguarding Lead Training Focused on Adults at Risk

This Level 3 (1 Credit) three-hour course will focus on the role and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead with regards to settings where there are adults at risk (vulnerable adults)

After completing this course, delegates will understand:

  • The role and responsibility of the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputies
  • Leadership and management of safeguarding in an organisation
  • Statutory responsibilities
  • Key legislation
  • Early Help and intervention
  • How to make referrals and signpost to support
  • The importance of working with other safeguarding partners
  • How to record concerns
  • The importance of training and keeping up to date with local risks
  • How to embed a safeguarding culture across the organisation

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will receive accreditation from the Open College Network (OCN Credit4Learning)
