This Level 3 (1 Credit) three-hour course will focus on the role and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead in a range of settings, for example charities, and after school clubs.
After completing this course, delegates will understand:

- Statutory Guidance and Legislation
- The responsibility to safeguard
- Types of abuse and other risks
- Early Help and intervention
- How to make referrals and signpost learners to support
- The importance of working with other safeguarding partners
- How to record concerns
- The importance of training and keeping up to date with local risks
- How to embed a safeguarding culture across the organisation
